My wife just received a couple of cheques in US dollars written by Barclays Bank, London. Can she go to any large banks here like Comm Bank and get them processed? I think I remember a few months ago no Australian banks could do it due to the fact that it was written by a UK bank. Had it been written by a USA bank, then no problems. Any one has any suggestions? Also, can Singapore process these types of cheques as my sister residing in Singapore received the same cheques today in Australia.
