Normally you wont be able to cash the cheques anywhere. You will have to deposit them into an account and it will take some time for foreign currency cheques to clear. Like about three weeks. Secondly, you should check with the bank if they have a relationship with Barclays UK. There are branches of Barclays in Singapore and Australia so thats where I would start. You will need to set up an account. Thirdly, you could call the UK branch that issued the cheques and ask them what to do. Finally -- you're going to be hit with some significant bank fees for this transaction. Also currency exchange losses as there must be two or three FX exchanges. You lose about 10% every time you change currency.
