FYI... I first posted on the pipeline structure in the Caspian area starting back in Sep 2004 on the CIG board.

Please find information below on the INOGATE Programme. The INOGATE Programme stands for Interstate Oil and Gas Transport to Europe.

Kyrgyzstan was one of the first member countries of the INOGATE Programme.

Officially it joined the INOGATE Programme on 22 July 1999 during the Kiev INOGATE Summit, when the Prime Minister of Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Amangueldy Muraliev signed the Umbrella Agreement.

The Umbrella Agreement entered into force on 4 April 2003.

At present 21 countries have signed or acceded to the Umbrella Agreement. From these 21 countries, there are currently 13 countries where the Umbrella Agreement is in force. It should be noted that there are no differences between Signatory and Acceeding countries except for the timing of which they signed the UA and the procedure followed for signing.
