The reason for that, directly from the horse's mouth, is that they don't want to give the media any more than is absolutely necessary, to beat them around the head with.
They have suffered trial by media from day one, which may have cost a lot of people a lot of money. As a holder from a few cents in 2003, I would be a lot poorer if I had listened to the media.
What beats me is why the critical journos are still journos? And not lords of the manor.
