I agree with the latter speculation. If nothing else works, switch to a bland diet for three to five days, such as fresh meat, boiled chicken, and maybe some rice, or a therapeutic cat food developed for Gastrointestinal issues (the therapeutic diet is frequently available at your veterinarian's office or at pet supply stores).
