While the directors selling almost certainly started the downtrend it hasn't been the sole reason or even the main reason. The mid to small cap end of the asx has been absolutely beaten down over the last few months / few weeks in particular. You can't single out a particular stock in a market like what we have seen.
The issue with the ASX spec / small caps is that they are doing terribly at turning awesome ideas, technology and services into revenue and profits. SMN case in question. This is the main issue for the whole market and nation to address. Getting off track so I'll stop there.
