forget all this short term noise, the EV revolution is here. i live in london and see it in london, madrid, amsterdam, scandinavia, etc. it is well and truly underway in china, japan and california.
Indeed it is Savvy. I was counting green plates in Shanghai and feeling smug at how many there were, and then counting the standard plates and thinking - China hasn't hit the accelerator on this yet.
A couple of days earlier I had dinner with a friend who is seeing one of his factories pushed to closing point as the emissions regulations get tighter and tighter. China standards are getting progressively tougher and by 2020 the industrial emissions concentration limits are an order of magnitude lower than Europe. I have no doubt that China will push EV demand to stay one step ahead of EV supply. I'm not expecting any softening for a long while.
