    We used to poke a couple of slices of meat inside a hollow branch. If you are on the coast then they are hard to find because diving birds usually clean them up. A few miles in land is best. Another good way is to place meat in an old tyre near T the edge of the dam, river etc.
    My uncles used to nearly fill a cast iron bath tub with yabbies and then take all weekend to eat them. In between their beers.
