I agree that the Chinese will offer significant money to the DRC in the form of infrastructure build etc, but the track record of them delivering this is woeful, maybe 10% of what they commit to makes it on the ground. Now significant money to pay people in power to ignore the child labour and other infringements of international law as well as DRC law, yes I can see them dropping a couple of hundred mill into that. Now if the world bank and UN stands up and removes funding from the DRC due to the absolute naked corruption in the country then how much do they stand to loose? Certainly no trans African railway will be built! yet again the people of the DRC will suffer for the misdeeds of the few elites in their country who steal!
