It also occurred to me how this AMI works as well if you can also call in competitors to bid. To my mind the CNOOC AMI looks to me to be all about PE. Unless of course CNOOC get last shot at everything FAR farms out. Even then u would think both FAR and CNOOC could sort it out without going through all the data room hullabaloo. Maybe FAR didn't like what CNOOC put up for The Gambia prior to going to data room.
Be very interesting how this plays out. If CNOOC does pick up the farm in for The Gambia others would be more inclined not to participate in future data room offerings from FAR given that their offer will be used to leverage CNOOC.
It also occurred to me how this AMI works as well if you can...
