Jaded, you are right. However there is another side to this story.
Church run organizations and others did pressure unborn mothers to give up their babies for adoption but the mothers had no financial support to raise their babies at the time. It was thought best.

What happens today when an unwanted pregnancy arises? There is plenty of money to support single mothers but they are still financially in a poor position. However, much worse, vast numbers of the babies are now killed.

Somehow I prefer the old way, at least the mother has been able to meet that baby she gave up.
