Crikey just saw parents from Catholic schools in North Sydney being interviewed and they are ropable with the govt's funding proposal. They said that those schools are in formerly strong Liberal areas but they have done polling and people would vote against the govt if this funding proposal goes ahead. One of the parents there said she is a member of the Liberal Party and is not happy with the govt’s proposal.
They appeared to have a logical argument against the proposal.
Apparently Tony Abbott and other MPs attended a meeting with the parents who met with
Education Minister Simon Birmingham.
There might be some govt division on this as North Sydney would I assume cover Tony Abbott’s electorate.
