    geez...nothing like a bit of Catholic bashing, eh? Yes, there is a tax-payer funded subsidy but last time I looked there was no exemption for catholic workers not to pay their taxes.

    When the NSW government and the City of Sydney council plow millions into such events as Gay Mardi Gras you hear barely a peep. Anyone who whinges is told: "it'll bring in more money (in tourism etc) than is spent on subsidies".

    Such an argument is now being used to defend Youth Day. Maybe it's not too late for the Pope to organise a Sleaze Ball for the non-catholics??
