having said that, the scale of the gigafactory has revolutionized the industry so in the next 3-5 years, solar plus battery will be the norm for every new home in Australia as it will be affordable

In the next 12 months, battery prices would have fallen 10-20%.......imagine trying to get funding for a sub-scale battery plant when margins are razor thin and prices are expected to fall by ~15%pa over the next 5 years
