Wow, a great example that Magnis is a leader in the graphite space is the fact that no MNS holder posts on the KNL forum these days (couldn't care less about the little stock), yet KNL current or previous holders seem to follow Magnis' religiously (last 3 out of 4 posts case in point).
HC aside, over the last couple years, several G stocks have referred to Magnis in company announcements, highlighting that MNS have set industry benchmarks.
Since Magnis set new standards, other G stocks have put added emphasis on larger flake sizes, sort chemical free purification processes, strived for TGC in the high 99th percentile and endeavoured to achieve higher G yields. Now other companies have announced applications for a SEZ and to add value in country.
Magnis has clearly blazed an innovative trail - piers have struggled to maintain pace.
However, Magnis has kept moving forward with anode material innovation and partnerships for next gen batteries - I think that keeping up with Magnis in such territory will prove to much of a struggle for G piers, but good luck trying.
Remember, just because you have the Magnis playbook, it doesn't mean you can make the plays... no one else is yet to reproduce true chemical free purification or such high G yields. And although others might apply for a SEZ, for numerous reasons, it does not mean it will be granted.
IMO, other G stocks would still be happily producing HFC acid treated, 96% TGC, poor yield graphite if Magnis, through the genius of Frank Houllis, had not come along and shown a better way.
I think it's better to respect and acknowledge leaders for what they have provided, than to try to tear them down out of fear and jealousy.
Will Magnis be around for years to come - I think Monday's purchase of $203k worth of shares by experienced large scale mining project manager Marc Vogts indicates that there are very good things to come... is Magnis about to forge further ahead, perhaps into territory that its followers have no hope of competing???
