AUSTRALIA'S ban on live cattle exports to Indonesia has been lifted, Federal Agriculture Minister Joe Ludwig says.
Senator Ludwig said he was confident Indonesian abattoirs could now meet Australian standards.
"I want to make it clear the decision to suspend the trade was not an easy decision to make, but it was the right decision," he said.
The resumption comes after the Government had suspended the exports of live cattle to the Asian nation on June 7.
It comes after earlier today, Indonesia said it would significantly cut the number of cattle it sources from Australia when it re-assesses its import quota for next year.
