They told us at the AGM, they would keep us in the loop regarding bolt-on acquisitions.

Today, Boral announced increases in full-year revenues to $4.7 bill (up 4%), and net profit after tax to $173 mill. (up 20%). They also intend acquiring (subject to regulatory approvals) the 50% interest of Lafarge in their Asian plasterboard joint venture.

The outcome of this acquisition will make them the largest plasterboard maker in the Asian-Pacific region.
