It would make no sense to install a solar plant right on top of a salar. They must be planning to build it near the salar. You need solid foundations for any sort of infrastructure, even solar PV. If they are planning such a thing, and a great idea by the way, they must be planning to build nearby.
And that doesn't even take into consideration to corrosive effect of the salt on the solar panels and the balance of plant such as the mounting systems, any tracking devices they may have and any electrical connections, cables and inverters and so on. The closer it is to the salar the greater the negative impact of the salt, in my opinion.
I'm sure there are plenty of excellent sites for solar energy in the region, but I doubt right next to a salar would be one of them. Happy to be corrected though.
