Easy to be in both camps with a long-term parcel and a trading parcel. That way when I get the trading side wrong I don't feel too bad. I also do this for a lot of gold stocks that can move 5-10% in under a week (sometimes during the day). Coals tends to require longer time frames to get the 5-10%. It is much easier to get ten 5% moves in a year than a 50% increase in the share price over a year.
