Ha! Yep, take out the CGT and it's not always that great a windfall....
... An older [and extremely wealthy] colleague of mine use to tell a joke 20yrs ago about "day-trading is only for those in the lower tax brackets, and for those setting themselves up to stay down there".
I probably didn't agree with him at the time... but have come to appreciate his wisdom.
