Isnt it in the tax payers interest for government to help protect this ever increasing % of GDP, (being invested as super), that if lost ...reduces/looses or even offsets other gains?, greatly affecting the tax that might otherwise be collected..?

I see poor regulation as a risk to taxes as well as a risk to investors retirement funds.
