Ancient India and Greece have always captured my imagination as brilliant cultures but feel that Is lam synthesised many ideas and in most instances this is quite natural.

The early successes produced great mathematicians and scientists, scholars, physicians and astronomers but half way on when new interpreters of Is lam appeared, we see a teaching that the acquisition of knowledge by Mus lims meant only the study of Is lamic theology where the study of science, medicine etc. was discouraged. Intellectually Mu slims began to regress ..... Hence they missed the Industrial Revolution, were seen to be weak people and were carved up by England and France etc.

How now do they emerge into modernity? Angry? Bitter? Look to their past glories? Try to be democratic and maintain Teddy in His Oneness? Many questions but only humanity will win the day.

See what you think of this ....

The greatest figure in Is lamic philosophy is held to be Imam al-Ghazali born in 1058. He argued that reason could not transcend the finite and was limited to the observation of the relative. Whilst several Mu slim philosophers had the opinion that the universe was finite in space but infinite in time he argued that infinite time was related to infinite space.

Hence his view is of an INFINITE UNIVERSE. I've argued this topic against the nonsense of the big bang followers who are largely creationists.
