I understand your reasoning, but you forget - or perhaps have not factored into your assumptions - the long-standing personal relationship between MT and the CEO of KRONOS (and their wives)! This friendship has existed long before the synergies between APG and KRONOS arose. It is real and both parties are committed to putting this deal together for the mutual benefit of both companies. That is a powerful motivation to get this done over and above the usual commercial realities of deal-making.

I am a realist and know previous relationships - with Cristal and Ticor for example - have been tarnished by a predatory bias, but I do not suggest that this is the case here.

I believe that you can/will get your money back...and hopefully substantially more when this union flies. You alone know my level of financial commitment to this deal, and I would not be risking it without a good look at all the angles in this matter.
