loafer, is it reasonable for rio to bank the tenement away for 20 years?
if you pay taxes, you have every right to expect the doir to protect the taxpayers assets and get a relatively swift return on those assets which you the tax payer via the government have entrusted to rio.
do you understand it is the wa tax payers land, not rio's????
have rio acted in the best interest of the public or the best interest of themselves for 20 years by banking the land away as a strategic holding????
regardless of who has claimed the land, be it caz or anyone else, they deserve serious consideration if the can prove that they can adequtely serve the interests of wa tax payers after 30+ years of inactivity and blatent disregard.
if caz don't meet their agreed obligation over the course of their 5 year lease then they should also suffer the same fate as rio should now be facing.
wa markets it's LOW sovereign risk to promote mining investment. see below.
