But wouldn't that be considered a wash sale George, if you sell via the buy-back and buy straight back in on market? You need to wait 30 days to buy back in if that's the case
Unless you originally bought your CBA shares for less than the capital component of $21.66 which would mean you'd have a capital gain and not a capital loss. Not sure when CBA was last under $21.66, but would have been a long time ago I'd imagine
