Yeah the world should just be peaches, cream, growth and excess in perpetuity. Nobody should ever need any savings because the economy just spits out unlimited amounts of jobs and wealth. Suffering is needed, especially at the top end, so that people waiting at the bottom can finally afford to buy a home. We need middle Australia to endure the wrath of god and default like never before on mortgages so that house prices/stocks come down 50-60% and the patient savers finally get an opportunity to buy at a reasonable price.
Otherwise we get today's economy - where we throw magic pills (in the form of debt) anytime anyone sneezes.
