My accountant treats my share sales as on a first in first out basis. This means that if you hold 1000 shares in a company purchased @ $2.20, sell 100 @ say $2.00 & buy 100 back @ $1.80, you have been deemed to have sold the shares you bought @ $2.20 not $2.00.
