I read somewhere today that APRA is easing its policy on banks hoarding capital to protect balance sheets, so I'm expecting that a dividend will be announced. Even if it doesn't, one of the biggest mistakes I've learned from since migrating to Australia 25 years ago is selling CBA. You just don't do it - it always comes back and you're paid to wait (though there is a risk in this case that the payment is deferred, but it will inevitably resume).

I sold my parcel at $40 in 2009 after buying it at the rock bottom low in the GFC (I thought I was a hero). My mum, a teller at the bank for 15 years, accumulated $1,000 parcels over her years and then one day we got a CHESS statement that showed us we had some $85,000 worth of shares and banking $6k+ in dividends each year, and we sold out at $65 like legends. Even though it went to nearly $100 in the mid-2010s and back down $70+ now... I really enjoyed those dividend checks.
