Hmmm... recent US market tanking saw investors here seek refuge in Bank stocks which are technically already fully-priced ...
A couple of 'up' days in US saw investors cautiously move back into Sectors with solid fundamentals but have since fled as hysterical media feeding frenzy continues ...
Given current weakness in Bank prices ... investors don't appear to be returning to safe haven but rather may be fleeing the market completely ... equals resignation/capitulation ...
CBA goes ex div 27/08/02 for a half-year div pay (heard one number $0.82) on 08/10/02 so it is a little way off yet ...
