Yes, a fair profit is fine but an insane profit? Causing misery? No, social responsibility should be part of the corporate ethic. You can have both.
Also, the RBA is not without "guilt". How does the RBA regulate inflation? By impacting those that can least afford the rate rises. The defense? "What else can we do?" The finance world has no answers and ordinary people continue to pay the bill...
