I lost my cool with CBA a couple of weeks ago for rolling over my mother's 6 % 7 month Term Deposit at 3.1%. They adjusted the rate as "an act of goodwill" after an argument- what a load of rubbish and what a scam to rip off a pensioner.
We can complain all we like about banks ripping us off but we can just as easily trade CBA between $49 and $50 and make hundreds of times what we are being ripped off. As long as the banks remain very profitable, there is money to be made by investors.
