40 was recently slugged 9.09% for using his anz debit card to book a flight within europe. anz reimbursed me a 'goodwill' refund of the 6.06% the merchant took. i still get to pay the 'normal' taxation fee of 3%. in the old days it was around 2.75% to use a card overseas and that INCLUDED the exchange rate spread AND there was no interest payable on cash withdrawals if the statement was settled in full when due.
is this progress or just the banks pushing to be the better profit improvers v the other banks ? they say they have to look after their shareholders lol. well here's a message for the buzzards, in some developed countries the shareholders are the govts. so where to from here eh ?
YEP, hit hard with one off taxes to the stinking banks, as we did in uk back in the 70's. labour gvt then but 40 agreed then and agrees now and 40's no red. just ask ted.
DISGUSTING are the banks and all those likewise for taking such big commisions for what ? hard work sitting on their asses for much of the time. oh yeah, it's tough pulling in thousands, just to write a mortgage and much harder to unwind one. i see 'em sweat when the poor homebuyers sit in front of them confused by all the jargon. BUZZARDS. all of them.
