Deakin Financial Services Managing Director, Mr Murray Hills, today
announced that Mr Graeme Hyland would join the Group's Perth based
Head Office Executive team as General Manager Sales and Marketing.
"I am delighted that someone of Mr Hyland's extensive and
acknowledged financial services experience is joining Deakin," Mr
Hills said.
"Mr Hyland's industry expertise and knowledge of the Australian
financial Services marketplace will enable him to make a significant
contribution and complement our organisation's plans to extensively
increase Deakin's presence nationally."
Mr Hyland will be responsible for Deakin's distribution network,
product development, sales and implementing marketing strategies to
achieve the organisation's overall business objectives.
Mr Hills said Mr Hyland is an outstanding individual with strong
management and operational skills, having served in senior executive
and management positions with the Commonwealth Bank, Colonial, Legal
& General and National Mutual.
Until recently, Mr Hyland was the Commonwealth Bank's General
Manager, Sales, for Third Party Distribution. In this role, he was
responsible for sales of Commonwealth/Colonial risk insurance,
superannuation and investment products on a national basis via the
CBA's dealership and independent adviser networks.
Together with the recent appointment of Mr Dan Parry as General
Manager Adviser Services, Mr Hills said Deakin has a team of
specialists with a depth of financial services and commercial
experience, well qualified to meet the challenges that were
confronting advisers at present and in the future.
"Deakin will continue to operate and support its advisers and assist
them to enhance their businesses and client relationship activities
with products and services that are relevant to the marketplace,"
concluded Mr Hills.
