Same situation happened with me.
It was a data Transfer accounting transactions from a government QANGO to Qld Government.
Took me a month to get the format of what they wanted, field sizes and length.
Took me half a day to extract the data and batch it according to their specification:
Took me a month to arrange a meeting to 'ask' for a demonstration test.
I left that meeting, I was told "IT IS GOING TO TAKE A YEAR TO IMPLEMENT ALL THIS". and was ordered "LET US DO THIS".
