The market seems to believe this is not a bad result, the outlook seems fairly positive and, although a 24% drop in profit sounds ghastly, the 2.1% improvement in efficiency against their competitors is a winner (CBA have always been the least efficient).
Was hoping the sector would be knocked around by the CBA's figures (still expecting ANZ to be under 17.50 by the end of August) but no significant movements yet. CBA hasn't rallied in the lead up to the dividend so that should occur and keep it over $30 until the 25th.
Anyone else with some analysis?
