To fellow users of the Commsec platform, do you find the pdf Research Reports of companies in the Quotes & Research section of much use? I like to read them, I also note that they used to cover the other 3 of the big four banks, (not themselves) and Macquarie Bank but they have stopped posting research notes on the banks, interesting... gives me the idea that now is not a good time to be buying the banks.
Some of the recommendations for smaller companies seem to be based on low risk, low growth ideas, e.g. XIP and AQZ.
Does anyone else have thoughts on these or seriously use them as a tool in the trading? For my money, I do like them, being quite compact, the forecasts and interesting commentary and the info being concisely contained on one or two sheets.
