We should not think for a moment it is only CBA FP's.
I worked for a business owned in part by FP's working for two different entities and got bad advice when I had told them I was a Conservative Investor.
I could not sensibly do much about it whilst I was working there but upon my retirement I sought and received compensation through the Financial Ombudsmen .
It is vital you keep good records including notes.
This is why I now do my own Self Managed Super as I would rather trust myself than leave my fate in the hands of others.
Not to mention all the Fees charged as your money goes through all the hands of Advisers, Investors etc.
Sure there a some good Financial Planners but the trick is how do you sort the wheat out from the chaff.
