Yeah they are very agressive at the moment generally offering this special in branches of a Friday, but dont worry the rival 3 banks know about it and generally have offers of their own of a Friday too.
On thing is for certain though, they are losing money on those face value of those term deposits. Ultimately the net uplift in proceeds that they would be getting would not be enough to bank-roll anything of significance.
