St George incentive saver account, interest rate 1.85% plus bonus rate of 3.3% if you deposit an additional $50 per month with the balance increasing = 5.15% paid monthly & when calculated with the interest each month it is about 5.57% per annum on the original amount. The fact that you need to deposit at least $50 per month makes the investment all the more attractive. I have the bank automatically transfer $50 each month to the incentive saver account from my working account. If you do not deposit the $50 in any given month or make a withdrawal that reduces your balance from what is required, you lose the bonus rate for that month.
