TA (charting) is a graphical presentation of historical price. More than that it depicts a pattern of behaviour. It may seem odd to put some importance on a pattern, but patterns exist all around us for a reason. From a microscopic fractal snowflake to movements of the Elliptic orbit of the largest celestial bodies in the universe. The stock market is not any different, we all live under the same rules of mathematics, physics and behavioural psychology after all...

By nature the future will always be uncertain because not all variables are known. We can't account for each individual trader in the market like we can't account for every molecule of water in the atmosphere but given the right conditions; the probability is it been known to rain. It does not mean it will rain every time the conditions are right.
