    A stock at around $143 appreciating at roughly 7.5% with dividends rolled in, would reach about $300 in 10 years. Close your eyes and walk away.

    CBA could certainly do that, but I'm wondering whether an investment in the broader ASX (or even a more diversified play, e.g. with a bit in the [Indian] nifty-fifty etc) would be a safer, more rewarding and more enjoyable ride.
