More $B+ IT projects to "unlock value"?
And presumably this is most applicable to AU banks because we have the most expensive ones?
Maybe, but personally I can't see it. There is already plenty of middle management in banks that could be cut but I reckon the limiting factor in doing so is more "dilution and diffusion of accountability" (plausible deniability and having someone else to blame) rather than anything AI might eliminate.
Just my opinion.
(Not holding directly but exposed via LICs)
