I have sold 2156 CBA shares from my SMSF & I bought 500 CBA shares in my own name on Aug 5 @ $126.85.
I was hoping to keep these 500 shares & add to them when the market reversed but the price has now risen to such a ridiculous level that I feel that I am compelled to sell.
My 2156 SMSF shares will not attract CGT but the 500 in my name will. As most of my income comes from the super fund, I will not be paying personal income tax. I have sold other shares to my super fund at a loss which means I will not be up for CGT.
