Reading the whole article , the headline is a tad self-serving. Comyn didn't succeed , but he gave it a reasonable go , against formidable opposition. I would think his attempts put him a cut above most bank executives. Narev and Spring to blame really.
Comyn sounds like an ok guy. However , even if he ate babies and rogered wombats , nobody cares anymore.
