    It doesn't matter which ways interest rates go there is an excuse why bank stocks rise.
    Rates go up, banks increase their margins.
    Rates go down, there will be fewer homeowners unable to pay their mortgage & fewer foreclosures.

    There is nothing wrong with the CBA, it is just a lousy investment at the current price with a yield of 2.9% & little prospect of any significant increase in profits. When we enter the next bear market CBA will be hit harder than most as it has a long way to fall.
