Hi , It is funny , but I still can't find any rational reason for the CBA price. As it is still below what the last lot I sold , I can still laugh. But only a bit , having started my sell off in September , I have an average sell price of about $152 . Shouldn't grumble too much , as the earnings and capital appreciation from other stuff ,I bought with that money still puts me in front , but barely.
Now , while I am here , I will ask again [ not specifically you excised], why is CBA valued so highly vs the others in the big 4 ? I could understand 10 or 15% , but the p/es are way past that. Now I think it is great retail bank , and it has size and despite any RC findings , a reasonable reputation , but the valuation differential seems too large to be explained by these factors. Why would I buy 1 CBA , if I could buy 5 WBCs ? cheers All
