When did paying tax become a problem for you Bob? Unlike you I don't have a problem paying my fair share. CGT, PAYG, Medicare Levy, GST etc... you name it I don't mind paying my fair share.
I've been doing so since I got my first job at Woolies. Produce bloke at 16 years old. In my 40's now I still smile with fond memories walking past the celery, tomatoes, cut watermelon... It is the smells that triggers it for me. Never shy away from hard days work either. No siree Bob. Sell because CGT becomes a problem is like telling people to stop working because you'll get docked PAYG. While your at it might as well stop investing entirely because you'll pay CGT on any win fall. Squirrel your money under the mattress because you'll pay Income Tax on the bank interest.... Something very wrong with your logic.
There are better ways to minimise taxation. Donation, negative gearing, salary sacrifice, private health cover so you don't pay the Medicare levy surcharge..etc Go see an accountant. If the account mentions Panama, Bank of the XXX Islands... Run away and get a reputable one.
