You think I'm wrong and I think you are wrong. Stale mate.

Yes I could sell today and invested elsewhere and maybe loose the lot or a good proportion of it.

    And if I had $10B I couldn't care what dividend I received. Or $1B or $1M.

I inherited CBA and NAB from my brother last year (divided between wife 2 daughters and myself). Over the years he just kept adding to his holdings - couldn't give a sh1t about the opportunity cost. From nothing to a portfolio over $2.7M. He also had a Super fund he cashed in 3 days before COVID hit - value today $3M (given to a women). Same principle - just hold on and keep adding to it. For a bloke who started with nothing 35 years ago to a combined value of $5.7M now.

That is why I put JustBob on ignore months ago. We have choices - and I certainly don't try and rev down people's throats what I think.

I'm 72 and retired end of 2008. I don't need to chase opportunity cost. We sit back and we live off our Super. Our $1.7M share holdings are just icing on the cake. I go and do things instead of sweating over the share market. Sometimes money isn't the be all to everything. As a friend once said what value do you place on pleasure.
