What I am saying is CBA is in the $160 area & from now on your returns will be pitiful.

All was great until CBA hits a brick wall price wise & the yield is pathetic.

Nothing wrong with CBA as a company but increases in dividends have not kept up with the share price & now the share price will stagnate until there is a market meltdown. If you haven't sold any, you haven't gained anything. Even a 7.5% increase in the annual dividend to $5.00 still only gives 3.125% yield on a share price of $160.00. You are unlikely to get anywhere near a 7.5% dividend increase.

Any increase in the share price over $160.00 & the yield only gets worse.

It is not what you paid for your shares, it is what will happen from now on. You fellows do not seem to get it. Based on the current share price, future returns will be well below par.

As far as I am concerned the game started @ $160.00 per share. If you think it is a good investment, then buy more.

I had CBA & listed investment companies as my main source of income & CBA no longer fitted my scenario because the share price outstripped the dividend.

Posters waffle on about how much they had paid for their shares & the huge profits they have made. It is all on paper until you sell.
It is not how far you are in front that counts, it is what happens from now on that matters.
