Over the last 25 years of investing. I always believed that Banks and Gold/Goldminers are the antithesis to each other. See

Post #:49676270. I play both in my portfolio. I overweight banks when we are roses economically and overweight gold miner/bullion when approaching economic dislocations.
However seeing both in unison like this feels like we are living in some sort of Twilight Zone. Not that I'm complaining of course. Both are a feature of the ASX portfolio but there is something icky about the current paradigm. Which I can't quite put my finger on.
Given time the answer or at least a valid explanation shall reveal itself. As always...
